History
Villa Borgognoni Hostel (Carotti at time) going back to the end of 19th century, is placed on the west side hill of the city of Jesi (the “Hill of Lonely). Sit within an enough large complex site of conifers, is constituted by a ponderous squared-base building, overlooked by a tower which give élan to the building. BY this last site is possible to have a 360° overview of the birth city of the emperor Federico the 2nd and the most part of the “Vallesina”, the valley of the Esino river valley. The internal of the Manor are wall-painted for the whole and the precious artistic work is attributed to the Samoggia painter in the early of the 19th century. From different years, the township of Jesi, is the owners of Borgognoni’s Manor and always addressed the use of the building for activities of social utility (nursery school, music educational school). During the summer of the 1989, has been the sit of a summer stage managed by the Montreal University (Canada) and most recently hosted an Italian language school for foreigners with the patronage of the township of Florence. During the year 2000, thanks to the Jubilee’s monetary founds and therefore to a precious renovation work, Borgognoni’s Manor has been turned into a beautiful Township Hostel. Since the may of the 2007, the hostel is managed by the “Zanzibar” Social Cooperative.
